Honor 8 now available in Europe for £369.99
A few months ago Honor introduced the Honor 8 to China. It had a dual camera and a very glassy and glossy body. Last week details on the Honor 8 coming to the US were released, and now it's going to Europe.
At an event in Paris, it was announced that it will be available from the 24th of August in the UK at £369.99. Huawei's vMalloutlet will stock it first as well as an "anniversary package" of bundled goods. The unlocked Honor 8 will also be available from Clove, Ebuyer, Expansys and Amazon. If you purchase an Honor 8 from Amazon they'll give you a free Fire TV Stick while stocks last.
The Honor 8 will be available from carriers "in the coming weeks."
The specifications of the Honor 8 are similar to the ones found on the Huawei P9. It packs Huawei's high-end Kirin 950 chip, 4GB of RAM, and a dual-camera setup which merges both color and monochrome sensors to get the best quality and details in photos and videos.
The Honor 8 also gets the same metal and glass design. It sports two sheets of "2.5D" tapered glass which sandwich a trim of metal.
The price of the Honor 8's launch price is a bit higher than other Honor smartphones. This emulates the upgraded internals and build quality than the predecessor the Honor 7. The main difference between the US and UK pricing is that it's more expensive than rival smartphone companies like OnePlus in the UK, while in the US, they both cost the same at $399.
