YouTube "TV", which you may not have known existed, has received an update. If you have a smart TV, you can use apps and search the web all from your television. YouTube's app shown in the picture above is now darker, with lots of cubes and rectangles. This new design is supposed to look more modern and appealing to users, it should also work great at night because of the darker tones that won't blind your eyes.

You are still able to search for a specific article, but YouTube makes it easier to find some new ones as well. It has several videos divided into different categories based on the content in those videos. As Slash Gear reports, some of the categories include News, Comedy, and you also get a recommended tab which shows you videos suggested by YT based on your other viewings.

After clicking on a category, you can dig deeper into subcategories to try to find the perfect video. With smart TVs becoming more and more popular, more people will be using this app. What do you think of the new design? Let us know in the comments below.
