Apple is reviving the quality of the App Store, resuscitates inactive apps and notifies developers

Apple is warming up towards September 7 ahead of the launch of its new product - iPhone 7.

In preparation of the big day, the company is rolling out update across the software ecosystem and ultimately getting rid of more apps from the App Store.

Apple notified its faithful fans and developers through an email, stating to ensure quality of its app store as its plans to fizzle out apps that have “no longer function as intended or follow current review guidelines” or that has been dormant for years. The evaluating process begins next week, and this move is seen as heads up for developers to see the company’s actions as a positive motive in getting rid of “problematic and abandoned apps” from the App store instead of interpreting it as wrongdoing.

While developers affected in this process will be entitled to a 30-day provision to fix the challenges or problems, and resubmit their corrected apps for approval upon review. In addition, apps that fail to survive at launch will instantly be thrashed out.

Meanwhile, developers are to bear in mind a 50 character title limit for new app submission is been enforced by Apple to checkmate the idea of SEO benefit.
