Video reveals the Apple Watch 2 will have a bigger battery and thinner display

The Apple Watch 2 is expected to be unveiled next week on September 7 as well as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. There have already been numerous leaks and rumors of Apple's smart watch, but major hardware changes have been confirmed in a new video.

Byte, an electronic retailer, has gotten some supposed Apple Watch 2 components. This includes a new battery and display panel. A quick testing of the parts revealed some huge upgrades for the battery. The new battery got a 1.28 WH rating, compared to a 0.98 WH rating on the original Apple Watch.

This alleged bigger battery could mean better battery life, which would be great for the Watch 2. However, there is a possibility that the bigger battery could just compensate for a faster processor and the inclusion of built-in GPS. If that does happen, the battery life might stay the same even though the internal upgrades.

Although the size hasn't changed, Byte says the display is "noticeably thinner" than the original. If it does have a thinner display, this could result to a slimmer Watch 2 as a whole. If the battery is bigger, it will balance it out and keep the thickness similar to the original.

You can also see the new Force Touch stopper for the Watch 2. It's been refreshed with a new design layout, but it's uncertain how it'll change the experience.

Check out the video below and stay tuned for the unveiling on September 7 next week.
