Microsoft has made lots of all-in-one PCs for some years now. Some of their all-in-one PCs is Surface 2, Surface 3 and Surface Pro 4. But the Surface series have never been a big success. Many people buy Surfaces, but they are pretty expensive and lots of people prefer a cheaper device. But Surface is now working on a new Surface PC, according to ZDNet.
At an event in New York Microsoft confirmed that they are working on a device with the codename “Cardinal”. And “Cardinal” is going to be a new Surface PC, if we should trust ZDNet. The same source also says that it will be launched at an event in late October. Some reports say that Microsoft is working on three different sized models of the new Surface devices. One with a 21-inch screen, one with 24 inches and the biggest model will come with a 27-inch display. Rumours are also saying that the new Surface devices will get upgraded processors in form of the latest Kaby Lake processor. But this is just rumours, so we can´t know is this is true or not.
If you are looking for an all-in-one PC, then you may wait for this device to be released. But if you are in a hurry to get one, you may not wait for it because it will probably not be a huge leap forward compared to last Surface devices.
