Amazon has released the Dot and Echo in Europe
Amazon released their Echo almost 2 years ago, and it's still not in Europe. But luckily Amazon changed this today, releasing the Echo in Great Britain and Germany. The 2 speakers come with a new colour; White.
The Echo and the cheaper Dot also have Alexa, who can still do simple things like getting an Uber, and reading your Twitter timeline. The best of all is, that she now has a British accent, which all Brits will appreciate.
Amazon prime users also get a great 50$ in the UK for the first week of sales. The Dot will cost 50 pounds and the Echo will cost almost 150 pounds.
Some European companies have also announced that their services will be Alexa compatible, like Skyscanner and Sky Sports.
So basically, the Echo and Dot are solid speakers that can play your music easily and directly from your phone, it can order you a taxi and can do pretty much everything else a speaker should be able to do. Pretty solid, right?
