Will Samsung limit battery charging?
We have all heard about the "exploding" Note 7 and about how Samsung is handling this situation. Samsung have recalled the Note 7's. However, some people, for some strange reason, have not exchanged their potentially dangerous phones and to make sure the devices will be safe, Samsung might release a software update limiting battery charging.
The OTA update will limit the charging to 60%. This will make sure the phones don't get too hot and don't catch fire. The update may get uninformed users to wonder what is wrong with their phone, and they will take it to a store. This will be an easier way for the devices to get recalled. Yonhap News is claiming all of this. The simple message that they are trying to say is that there is a very tiny chance your phone is dangerous, but it's not worth the risk.
