Canon EOS M5: a mirrorless camera with a DLSR feel

The EOS M3 made its debut almost a year ago, and it's arguably Canon's best mirrorless camera until now. Canon is expanding their compact series with the M5, which is a high-end shooter that has a DSLR feel. It's not going to replace a DSLR camera, but the M3 does borrow some features from the Canon 80D. It has the DualPixel CMOS autofocus, which helps you track moving subjects accurately in video mode. It also has the same 24.20megapixel APS-C sensor and 100-25,600 ISO.

The EOS M5 also features a Digic 7 processor, which is the latest from Canon, 7fps continuous shooting as well as Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi for pairing it with smartphones. It also sports a 3.2-inch touchscreen on the back, as well as a high-res electronic viewfinder. As a whole, the new mirrorless camera from Canon promises to be on of the best on the market, although we'll have to wait and see until it's available for purchase. The EOS M5 will be available in stores in "early" November for $980 body-only and in the UK for £1,049. A kit with a 15-45mm f/3,5-6.3 zoom lens it will cost an extra $120/£100.

It's also worth mentioning that this is an EF-M mount camera, but an adapter is available to buy separately to be able be used with Canon's wide range of EF lenses.
