At the Google I/O event, this year, two new apps were announced; Duo and Allo. Duo is already out for users to experience, but Allo isn't. Google promised us a summer launch, and seeing that summer ends on the 22nd of September, they need to hurry up.

Basically, Allo is Google's answer to iMessage. You can send messages, stickers and loads of other nifty stuff to your friends. The program takes your phone number and lets you send messages via WiFi or data, kind of like WhatsApp.

Evan Blass, a famous leaker known for his other work, posted a tweet on twitter (@evleaks) the other day saying: "Hello, Allo (launches this week)." He gave no further information. Most rumors suggest the 21st of September (the 21st was later confirmed by Evan too.) , seeing this gives Google the most time.

So are you going to use Google Allo? Let us know in the comments down below and make sure to stay connected with us on social media! Via: | AndroidPolice |
