Google's mysterious statue pops up in Brooklyn before October 4 event

We know that Google is holding an event on October 4th and we also know that they've got some a few things prepared for us. Despite not knowing much about the event, we're expecting to see the Pixel and Pixel XL to be announced. It's also possible we could see a new Chromecast device and a retail-ready version of Google Home. Although Google has been very shy in promoting the event, a modern statue has recently shown up.

The statue was found earlier today by some Redditors in Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was clearly put up during the night, and the statue is evidently showing the event date, October 4th, Google's "G", and a large rectangle outline of what could possibly be their new smartphones. "#MadeByGoogle" is printed at the bottom left corner of the art.

If you think you've seen it before, you probably have as it looks very similar to Google's previous promo piece regarding the Pixel announcement.

The tech giant has said a lot without saying much at all with these symbols. It's difficult to be certain about it, but it's possible that it's saying the Pixel will be a window to the world, which could mean they will be focusing on the camera, display quality and VR capabilities.

In a previous video, Google's search bar turns into a rectangular shape, which is most likely the outline of a smartphone. Just like the search bar was made by Google, the Pixel and Pixel XL will be made by Google too. This could mean that although HTC technically came up with the Pixel smartphones, Google had a much bigger role in developing these devices than they did in the Nexus devices. This could also be Google showing that this is the difference between Nexus and Pixel.
